The Circular Tour

 

Callanish Stones; - just 30 minutes from Stornoway accommodation, is on part of a circular tour that can take an afternoon, or just a couple of hours, depending on what you want to do. On the circular you can see:

At Barvas you can take the Ness road for a couple of miles to the Morven Gallery and enjoy a lovely fresh cup of coffee and a cake before you decide to continue to Ness or return home to Stornoway completing the circular tour.

Ardroil Sands boasts a wonderful tribute to the Lewis Chessmen in the shape of a statue of the King.

Harris and a wild mountainous almost moonscape feel about it - Harris has fantastic white, golden sandy beaches and you do see clear blue skies and aqua marine seas. Some of the beaches worth visiting are Luskentyre, Huisinis, Horgabost and Seilabost.

SeaTrekSea Safari - boat trips from Lewis with day trips to St. Kilda. Sea Trek is based at Miavaig, Uig, approximately a 45 minute trip from Stornoway. They offer a range of excursions and opportunities to enjoy the spectacular scenery and wildlife the Outer Hebrides has to offer.  

Island Cruising - based on the isle of Lewis.

Kilda Cruises - From the isle of Harris. Weather permitting, Angus Campbell will take you from Leverburgh for the day, but booking is essential.

Sea Harris - Daily trips if the weather permits, from the Isle of Harris to St Kilda. Seumas Morrison will take you across for the day and again book in advance.

Hebrides Fish ‘N’ Trips - to the Shiant Isles and around the east coast.
